This is an application developed in vtk and C# to view tornado information from the past 50 Years in the US.
Various color cues are used to indicate to the user the severity of the event.
The user can filter out the data in various ways such as by damage, fatalities, injuries, time of the day, time of the year, Fujita Scale and injuries.
The user can also view the tornados scaled with respect to values associated with them, such as the Fujita Scale value, damage caused, injuries, fatalities.
There is a feature to play back the tornados in time too where the user can drag the playbar forwards and backwards in time to view the tornados as they occur.
All the above filtering techniques can be applied additively to the application.
